Do I need to configure my network for Thinka?

No, Thinka uses DHCP to obtain an IP address from your LAN automatically. Thinka does not need to have internet access.

There are no incoming ports that need to be opened. So you would not need to open your firewall or router. Thinka will only use outgoing access to the Internet for use with:

  • Software updates from our private repositories
  • Amazon Alexa
  • Google Home
  • Remote Support Access
